Three tiers, twelve flagship projects
Concrete + visual
Number sense, fractions, shapes, and patterns through Scratch-style block coding. Sequencing, loops, conditionals introduced via play.
Bridge to abstraction
Ratios, algebra, coordinate geometry, and probability. Students transition from blocks to readable Python with mirrored block + text views.
Applied + analytical
Functions, trigonometry, statistics, calculus. Students use Python with NumPy and Matplotlib to model and explore mathematical objects.
What makes MathCode different
Math first, syntax second
Every coding construct is introduced only when it deepens a mathematical idea. Code is a thinking tool, not a vocabulary list.
Concrete → Representational → Abstract
Each project follows the CRA progression. Students manipulate interactive visualizations before writing the symbolic code that drives them.
Standards-aligned
Curriculum maps to CCSS-Mathematics, CSTA K-12 CS Standards, and the K-12 Computer Science Framework across all twelve units per tier.
